As one true OG  Litecoin   enthusiast, I wanted to test the site, or better, the NFT marketplace  Liteverse.io  since its launch in 2022. At first, I claimed Litecoin Summit collectors NFT. But, for several reasons, the test of minting my first NFT got a bit delayed. But now I finally have the time and the need to make use of it for a larger cause. I am sad I procrastinated a little. As it would have been a great honor to be the first one to give it a try, but given my lack of technical skills to use just code to mint outside of a marketplace, waiting was a great idea since the site is super user-friendly and it's quality has improved considerably. I would say Liteverse.io is ready for the mainstream. Minting on it or acquiring an NFT on the Litecoin network is now a Piece of cake! How my Ledger Nano brought me peace of mind. Storing Bitcoin and Altcoins

The time to purchase a Ledger Nano is now! No matter how much cryptocurrency you acquired and accumulated, if you do not store it in a safe wallet it can all be gone in a matter of seconds. Hacks, lost phones, bankrupted exchanges, a spill on a computer are among the many horror stories that could cause you and me to loose all of our crypto. Such a paranoia! 

 For me "hodling" cryptocurrency was becoming stressful. Just the idea of losing my phone was a border lining panic attack. 

 Fortunately with one purchase and few simple steps I now feel that my funds are SAFE. What an accomplishment after months of procrastinating. I now know for sure that my crypto is safe from all the scenarios mentioned above, stored in a hardware cold storage device from Apple called Ledger Nano S. It cost me $59.00 plus tax and shipping but certainly a great investment to have peace of mind. 

 The feeling of true control over my Bitcoin and alt-coins was quite recognizable and different from the fear I was feeling before. My fear of loosing my crypto did not come from owning a lot of it. On the contrary, the fear existed because as a family we cannot afford to loose what we have. Or in this case just simply give it away that easy. I am glad I took action and the feeling of control and confidence has been stablished.

 I now miss the bank a lot less. I transfer to exchanges just coins that will be traded, and once a trade is complete I transfer funds or profits back to the ledger. On my phone I only carry spendable coins such as BTC and LTC. Just enough to make small purchases, very similar to the amount I carry in fiat currency in my wallet. I go on with my life and occasionally I check funds on my ledger just like I do my bank account.

 Few features that I love about my Ledger Nano S


Security: Private key is never exposed. It is protected with a secure chip locked by a Pin code
Multi Currency: The Ledger Nano supports over 1100 cryptocurrencies
Back up: Crypto stay safe even if the device is lost or destroyed. A confidential recovery phrase backs up the device and the funds are restored on a new ledger device. In my case I wanted to protect my recovery phrase against all the elements as well so I acquired a Cryptosteel device to enhance my security.

 I will certainly be writing in more detail about my experience with my Ledger Nano S, create a set up video and more. I think it is necessary for many to know and understand this device.  I soon will upgrade to the Ledger Nano X and give it as try as well. 

 I wanted to note that there are certainly a variety of hardware wallets in the market today. Be sure to invest in one as it will certainly increase your level of security and with that your peace of mind.
