Left-brained or Right Brained? What color do you see?

Curiosity: Apparently if the left half of your brain is dominant you will see a combination of grey and green. If the right left of your brain is dominant you will see a combination of pink and white. I do happen to see both at different times of the day. With that in mind here are some facts about the The left brain and right brain theory.

What is the left brain and right brain theory?

The theory originated in 1960, with the research of psychobiologist Nobel Prize winner Robert W. Perry. Few years later the theory was then discredited by a team of neuroscientist set out to test his premise. The theory implies that people are either left-brained or right-brained, meaning that one side of their brain is dominant.

Differences between Left-brain dominance and Right-brain dominance.

If you're mostly analytical and methodical in your thinking, you're said to be left-brained. If you tend to be more creative or artistic, you're thought to be right-brained.

Right brain abilities

    • Expressing emotions
    • Recognizing faces
    • Music
    • Reading emotions
    • Color
    • Imagination
    • Intuition
    • Creativity
    Left brain abilities
    • Language
    • Logic
    • Critical thinking
    • Numbers
    • Reasoning
    Final note

People don’t tend to have a stronger left- or right-sided brain network. You may begin to see the shoe pink and white and a few hours later you may see it grey and green. The activity seems to be determined more connection by connection. Although researches have demonstrated that right-brain/left-brain theory is a myth. The theory  popularity still persists within our culture. A lot of us are likely unaware that the theory is outdated. Consequently the idea seems to have taken off within popular culture and is still talked about half a century later.
