As one true OG  Litecoin   enthusiast, I wanted to test the site, or better, the NFT marketplace  Liteverse.io  since its launch in 2022. At first, I claimed Litecoin Summit collectors NFT. But, for several reasons, the test of minting my first NFT got a bit delayed. But now I finally have the time and the need to make use of it for a larger cause. I am sad I procrastinated a little. As it would have been a great honor to be the first one to give it a try, but given my lack of technical skills to use just code to mint outside of a marketplace, waiting was a great idea since the site is super user-friendly and it's quality has improved considerably. I would say Liteverse.io is ready for the mainstream. Minting on it or acquiring an NFT on the Litecoin network is now a Piece of cake! Theta EdgeCast Node Evolution

If you read my blog regularly you probably know that for the past few months I have been dipping my toes into the Theta. tv platform. After getting a feel for the community, getting familiar with its interface, and comparing the platform with others; such as my recent Lbry and Theta comparison. My next goal was to dive a little deeper into the network, download the Theta.tv Edge Node, earn additional transferable t-fuel, and possibly start streaming soon.


I have been meaning to do download the Theta Edge Node for a while but kept on pushing back. I often get distracted and despite knowing it was simple to set up and quite rewarding I was delaying it. But after learning of the recent introduction of the Theta EdgeCast I was just thrilled to hit that download button immediately. Could not wait any longer I guess. 


According to theta: "We’re excited to introduce Theta Edgecast, the first fully decentralized video streaming DApp that is 100% built on Theta’s native blockchain technology with smart contracts. This technology stack includes the ability to capture video, transcode it in real-time, cache, and relay to users globally all through Theta’s peer-to-peer edge network composed of over 2000 edge nodes today. This means not a central server or service is used."


Theta Edgecast is the Edge Node redesigned and taken to the next level in terms of technology.

Now, Instead of waiting for a stream key, anyone can download an Edgecast node today and start streaming on the Theta platform. Simultaneously, the edge Node is there, working on the background earning additional t-fuel for its contribution. Truly amazing to be able to participate in the Theta.tv network in such a meaningful way (by running a node) while having a seamless and interactive experience.


So after I downloaded the new and fresh EdgeCast Node I created this video for you to showcase my first impression and what I learned so far. I must say there is still so much for me to learn but I think I got the basics, including which program is necessary to enable streams. Getting there!
