Exploring Liteverse.io: The first NFT marketplace on the Litecoin network with my first collection dedicated to the Mighty Mia Event #dancingforjoy + Quick Sign up and funding tutorial

As one true OG  Litecoin   enthusiast, I wanted to test the site, or better, the NFT marketplace  Liteverse.io  since its launch in 2022. At first, I claimed Litecoin Summit collectors NFT. But, for several reasons, the test of minting my first NFT got a bit delayed. But now I finally have the time and the need to make use of it for a larger cause. I am sad I procrastinated a little. As it would have been a great honor to be the first one to give it a try, but given my lack of technical skills to use just code to mint outside of a marketplace, waiting was a great idea since the site is super user-friendly and it's quality has improved considerably. I would say Liteverse.io is ready for the mainstream. Minting on it or acquiring an NFT on the Litecoin network is now a Piece of cake! In this article I will describe my experience, the reason why my first series of NFTs was created, and most importantly the advantages and disadvantages of creating an nft (Non-fungible Token) or an nft

My channel has been removed from YouTube

Hi everyone, if you stopped by YouTube recently looking for one of my videos I am sad to say that you will no longer find my YouTube channel @Mamaecrypto. It has been removed as of February 10th 2020. Yep I was literally kicked out of YouTube and no longer can access my account. Luckily you still find my presence there, within few videos recorded by other fabulous YouTubers. But sadly we will no longer will be able to grow together as a channel in the YouTube Platform.

I am assuming there is one reason my channel got removed. Most of my videos were cryptocurrency related.

How and when did it happen?

In the end of last year, right around the holidays, I received few strikes notifications via email mentioning that few videos had been removed for content violation. Here is an example of a video title that received a strike: Litecoin LTC Crypto Mass Adoption Movement Download the Loaf Wallet. Ladies we can do it! In this video I showcased how to download an application from the apple store. I tried my best to figure out what was wrong with the video, but was not able to clearly identify the source of the violation. So I simply clicked on the Appeal button in hopes that YouTube crawlers had made a mistake singling me out.

When this happened I was on vacation and I was completely unaware that there was a crypto content ban going on YouTube. When my videos started getting strikes, few in a roll, I also did not have time allocated to deal with the matter properly. Maybe I should have been more proactive but, on that day, I simply tweeted my frustration and went on to enjoy my much needed vacation.

Few days later, after receiving a message from a colleague, I learned that this issue was happening with many crypto content creators and Cointelegraph had featured my tweet in one of theirpublications and on a video

I was simply amazed. And that's is when I realized that all crypto content was being targeted and that there was nothing much I could do other than wait for a resolution. On a positive note the Cointelegraph video indicated videos were being reinstated and that the ban was a mistake on YouTube's part. And in my case, that felt real, since for another month or so all my previously banned videos like the one I mentioned above were back on and running steadily on Youtube. So as I arrived back and started my daily routine I simply trusted the issue had been solved and that the coast was clear for educational crypto content within the YouTube platform.

However, this week I received another video strike. My 3rd strike and therefore resulting termination and that is the end. I do have one chance to appeal to YouTube and try to recover my account. But to be honest I do not have the energy to do so. In my opinion it is time to move on.

My channel was small, with less than 600 subscribers. Certainly in YouTube's view easily disposable. However, this approach they used makes me extra concerned for the big channels too. In @Rachelwolf00  article, we see that many Top Crypto content creators such as Ivan the tech have already received strikes. I personally watch many and would hate to see their content go. On a good note many are already making the move to decentralized video platforms.

From one hand I understand YouTube's decision to be more aggressive on Crypto content in general. I personally see a lot of scams out there.  specially hacked accounts. But it is very important for YouTube to distinguish between good and bad crypto content too. If they block all the educational material that is is being created for the sake of preventing few scammers it is truly a huge loss for both content creators and viewers within the platform.

Want to help me find the best Video Platform to move into? Drop a comment and let me know your best YouTube replacement. It will be a challenge to create it all again and repair all the article links but willing to give it.

All my best,
Michelle M.
